Tsuruarame (Earth-like Seaweed) is a type of edible brown seaweed found primarily along the Sea of Japan coast from northern Kyushu to Aomori. Its thriving growth creates “seaweed beds” that support a variety of seafood, garnering attention as a seaweed that protects marine resources. Due to its high nutritional value, including high polyphenol content and high amounts of alginic acid and fucoidan, which provide viscosity, its uses are being researched.
・Unripe Arame has long been sold as a food ingredient in areas along the Sea of Japan, such as Oma, Sado, and Noto.
・We only use unripe Arame harvested on Nishinoshima Island in Shimane Prefecture.
・Safety has been evaluated in clinical trials.
